September 2023

I love capturing quick pictures of Doug being a goofball. He's got his pickleball headband serving as a mask.

More posing and dancing

These awesome donkeys came up to our car at Lake Pleasant. They let us pet them.

I rarely take pictures at pickleball but here's Kellie playing at Paloma

Doug took his market to Island Park for a fun retreat and they loved their white water rafting, too.

Meanwhile, I got to play with Jenny and a bunch of other women, working on my wake-surfing

Falling off dramatically

We went to a movie while a BYU football game was wrapping up so Doug kept watching at the movie theater. I think BYU pulled through with a win. They didn't do much winning this season.

Isaac got asked to Sadie's by a girl named Liberty so they found matching t-shirts that read "Nacho Average Cowboy" and "Nacho Average Cowgirl."

This was amazing. We did a "Favorite Things" Relief Society activity and Jodi ended up getting a professional prostitution license for Teacup Sally. I laughed so hard. It was perfect for Jodi.

At a swim meet.

With Darcee and Anne. We had wanted to go float the river and too many people canceled. We went to Lake Pleasant instead.

We got a new couch for our front yard. I love it!

Bishop  Powers was very kind and let me have his extra set of keys so we could play pickleball at the church.

A nice-looking rainstorm

A note to a student

We have an icemaker that is pretty nice and easy to use.

Cason running for touchdowns

This is how my Pickleball activity looks on Strava. I record my pickleball practices and Strava tracks my movements.

Lucy got to go to a Jonas Brothers concert with Doug. She had a blast.

The girls doing all their eye close-ups. Lucy

After a softball game

Doug and I went out to eat and ran into one of our Trek children, Tessa! It was fun to meet her family.

We got Doug out on a paddleboard on Lake Pleasant exactly one time during the year after getting him a year-long pass for his birthday.

The boys had no luck fishing from the paddleboard

I "got" to volunteer as a field marshall at a Phoenix Rising tournament or else pay more fees. It wasn't that bad.
