December 2021

Poor Arrow had to have the snip snip and did not love his undies or the cone of shame.

We also get a sneak peek of Isaac's Glendale Prep uniform here. It was so normal at the time and looks so strange now (seeing it two years later as I make comments on the pictures).

That cone of shame was not very fun for him.

He was still nibbling on any papers we left on the ground.

We found Isaac's present from Shauna and Marshall just after Christmas. It was a joy. So were Isaac's airpods.

This was at my friend Meredith's house where her little boys Calvin and Teddy were celebrating their second birthday.

Loving their scooters and balloons

I can't remember where we were but I'm guessing we were at the zoo?

This was Saphira's baby blessing day. So cute!

Lucy loved doing her nails (and spilled nail polish on the floor, ruining her carpet).

This is a brief update I wrote to a friend as I was sending Christmas cards. My guess is that this was for Betty Cannon, my former young women's leader.

Isaac singing in his choir concert. It was mandatory at Glendale Prep, which I appreciated.

Kiddos liked it when I made soup bowls in sourdough rolls.

I love this Harry Potter reference. "Expecto patronum" makes your spirit animal burst from your wand to chase away dementors. I take pictures of fun license plates and bumper stickers whenever I am entertained by them.

We were excited to see our house value jumping up so high after little over a year of buying our home. (It's now estimated at 1,017,500 on Jan 7, 2024.)

I got this shirt for Jodi Poston because she was moving away after being our incredible choir director.

We continued to get so much mail for the Powers even though they had moved and supposedly changed their address. We still get their mail now.

Asher invited everyone in their Sunday school over to hang out, which was fun and cool to see. I still dream the dream of our kids being good friends in the ward.

Some of Doug's goals

One of my favorite Christmas movies

Doing some cookie decorating at our house. Eva came over to help Brooklyn.

Doug signed us up as Christmas angels to get gifts for residents at his facility.

We had an awesome time taking residents to go see Christmas lights.

We got to go to Ihop before Christmas, a fun Christmas break tradition Doug created a few years back.

Doing the Christmas nativity with Jeremy and Darcee's kiddos

Us the night before Christmas

We found a cool setting on Doug's phone that made Isaac two-headed. It looks like he had switched over to contact by then.

Christmas morning--I'm not sure what gift he is holding up.

I got a piccolo for Brooklyn and me--I was so excited!

A typical complete mess on Christmas day.

We went to play a little pickleball with our new paddles. The kids weren't super into it but the sunset was amazing!

Right after Christmas, we drove to Utah to have wonderful family time.

I love this series of pictures. Isaac got slammed into the ice with his arm pinned sledding with Cabel.

We did some powerful bowling. I think the kids may have all had bumpers or maybe Isaac didn't? Not sure, but I was not magnificent.

And a happy New Year with a drunk Summer and River, with Cabell in the background.
