February 2022

Why do my pictures keep posting in reverse chronological order? Sigh. Clicking on them in reverse order worked this time!

The weather at the start of February

Lucy's best friend during her seventh-grade year. This was after ward young woman kickball.

Brooklyn's great friends during her fifth-grade year

We searched for a good long while for an orthodontist for the kids. The orthos were either too expensive or not amazing (one cut Lucy's lip while doing an initial examination).

We figured out a way to cover cords sticking out from Isaac's wall. The family picture looks nice!

The start of February was great for a few years because the Buechners would come down for a few days for a lacrosse tournament. Unfortunately, that tournament has been pulled from their season lineup and the Buechners won't have a reason to come in February anymore. So sad!

This was a toy Breezy sent us for Christmas.

Lucy had one cool English class assignment to create a piece of art representing a book she read. She read Cinder and painted a beautiful picture. This was in the sketching stage.

Corban needed to have his tonsils removed like Isaac and Brooklyn before him. I think this was just on an examination day.

Snuggling with Arrow

Enjoying some hot tub time.

A blast from the past--the day Peanut came home from her mission with Carrie there and Judy Buechner. It was Ash Wednesday, so you can see the ash on Judy's face. Marshall's face looks so funny.

I think this is during Corban's recovery time. It was a super tough recovery for him because he had a cough at the same time! Imagine coughing through your throat wounds. Glad he survived it.

Lots of good distractions, like Paloma Park and the ducks there.

Meredith got me a gorgeous mug so I modeled it for her.

The younger three kids were jealous that Isaac and I rode camels on my birthday so I let them ride camels, too. This was on Cason's birthday.

He chose a tiger as his gift for his birthday.

Lucy's finished painting.

A fun rainy walk with Jen Rollins. I love her so much and am grateful when we can go on walks.

We were pumped that our house was valued at over a million dollars! That made us feel thankful for getting our home when we did. Honestly, we put an offer on a home in Cave Creek and pulled out because of COVID and uncertainty about the market fluctuating, but in retrospect, we probably could not have paid enough for that home on closing day because Doug wasn't receiving his bonuses yet. Things worked out in a way that blessed our family.

Cason and Wyatt Kindler were getting baptized the same month so we took pictures of them and made invitations for their whole class. Only Cason's best friend Kaleb and his mom and Shem and Christy came from all those invites, but we tried!

And finally, another license plate that entertains me.
