Magical Mover

I try to be self-reliant, informed, and continually learning. But I am still not amazing at several things.

I'm not very good with directions. Or biting my tongue. Or reading the paper. Or doing a craft more than once a year. You get the picture--I am a work in progress:).

But one of the things I'm not good at may stick with me for life. I am not good at moving heavy objects. I can help people move things, but when I try to move things myself, it's like trying to move the Louvre--it ain't happening, and ain't likely.

Doug, on the other hand, is a master mover--a magical mover. When I wanted us to be able to fit both of our cars in the garage a month ago, I worked on clearing things out of the way for weeks...and then he spent an hour or two in the garage, and made room for the cars.

Last night, we knew "we" needed to move the bookshelf and entertainment center so a plumber (spell check recommended this--it really isn't spelled "plummer"?) could cut into our ceiling and identify the cause of a leak. Not pleasant, but I was willing to do my part.

Then Doug did the whole thing by himself, also figuring out how to keep our TV working, and our cable as well. And the room looked nice. I admired, gave him kisses, and got to go work out.

I know a lot of my gratitude posts have been about Doug, but I appreciate that this year. He is so cool!
