Doug wasn't with our family much last week, and it didn't feel as hard as it should have because I was having so much fun with family, and because my family helped out when needed. But there is no replacement for Daddy, obviously, and the kids have been glued to him since coming back from vacation. Yesterday, Doug made breakfast for us, and lunch, and played with play dough and worked on words with Isaac and letters with Lucy, he organized picture time, played with puzzles and games, and was an all out super-star dad. I kept thinking he would get burned out, but he was an indefatigable super-star.
I'm thankful for Doug's kid time yesterday.
