I am grateful I hugged a tree today! It feels fun to do bizarre things!
I decided to take my kids on a run this afternoon, and I "tested" the weather like always, going outside for a minute, assessing what kind of clothing the kids should wear. Lucy got a green fleece sweater (because she had a turtleneck on) and Isaac got his blue winter coat (because he had a t-shirt on). We went exploring, trying to find a park I went to once with my friend Rylie. I didn't find the "right" park, but I found a great run-around play area with gorgeous maple trees, a pile of leaves, and a pile of dirt. That, plus the lunch I'd packed for us, equaled something like heaven. I hugged the most glorious maple tree, so thankful for the vibrant yellow leaves above me and the warm sun. I am so happy that we got our outdoor adventure today. And I'm grateful that, even though I'm color-blind, I still see beautiful colors--they're just probably not the exact same hues you see!

I didn't know that you're color blind. And it sounds like you guys had a great day!
