It's my turn to write the newsletter for Relief Society, so this is what I wrote:
When my daughter, Lucy, was born, I was anxious to get her picture taken and stick the picture up on the wall in the family room. I guess I wanted to welcome her into our family visually, showing that she belonged.
Because my home doesn’t have a lot of wall space, I needed to take down one of my pictures to put up my sweet Lucy. The picture I took down was of the Savior.
It took a while, but I really started missing the Savior’s presence in our family room. He used to smile at us as we left our home, sending us off to do his will. He invoked good behavior and charity. A week ago, I cajoled my husband into rearranging pictures and frames so that we could bring the Savior back into His place in our family and our home.
The inscription below His picture reads, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
It has been a dark winter and we need His light! We can follow Him this month by CELEBRATING General Conference and Easter. (We all know the difference between celebrating a break from the everyday and celebrating the reason for the break.)
If we act on the promptings we have in this fabulous Christ-centered month, we’ll know the true “light of life.”
I'd like to dedicate the use of the word "fabulous" to Amber McArthur, without whom I would never think to use the word.
And speaking of fabulous, I get to escape with my husband to Vegas at the end of April to celebrate graduation from law school. With NO KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (loud applause, please).
Children are awesome. My children are awesome. But so are romantic getaways with my spouse:).

WHOOOHOOO!!! I'm so happy you guys get to go away!!! You'll feel so much better when you come back revitalized and ready to be with your kids cause you missed them so much while you were gone. I can't wait to hear all about it!
And by the way, "You, Tara Bowen, are FABULOUS!"
OK, I just did a massive amount of blog catch up. Congratulations on surviving a husband in law school! Congratulations to him to receiving his degree! Your kids just keep getting more grown up!
Oh and I really liked what you wrote for your RS letter.
