More May Updates

We decided to get a second opinion about our furnace, and the second company basically told us that the first company was a bunch of crooks and that our furnace was in excellent condition. With a bit more effort on our part, we got that company to provide a letter stating the facts, and our buyer accepted this. We should have had any requests from the buyers about what to fix based on home inspections by Friday and we got nothing, so we're moving forward, hoping we don't need to fix anything and everything is moving forward smoothly. Fingers crossed.

I wanted to take the kids to the zoo this week, but eleven schools were there and the  line was enormous. We went to the playgroup instead. My favorite part was watching Cason jam to the music in a sound display.

And yesterday was all about Brooklyn! Her birthday was today, but we knew we couldn't go out and do anything today, so we celebrated by having her go to a birthday, then go to the zoo, then perform so cutely at her gymnastics recital, take a rest and pick shows while Doug and I went to the adult session of stake conference.

This is her running across the floor with her trophy while we cheered for her.

And posing with trophies with Jane.

We got the kitchen all ready for her birthday last night.

We took a quick trip to the Visitor's Center tonight. When we got there, Cason was so excited to see the statue of Jesus and couldn't resist touching him. This picture would be cool with a simple caption, like "Come Unto Me."

We are all still surviving. This enormous series of life-changing events has not been easy, and it's not going to get easier any time soon. I keep praying for patience, cheerfulness, and increased capacity to bear my burdens.
