I am (mostly) happy to announce that I just ordered a hard copy of my blog for the past 4 1/2 years, and it will be sent to me around April 6th. I didn't love spending a lot of money ($100) for the book, but the memories are priceless, and I wanted the hard cover to preserve the book better. I am so excited to have the book in our family! I would have loved to have something like this written by my mom as we were all growing up. She drew pictures of us, and created great photo albums, but she didn't record a lot. If you know of a cheaper way to create blog books, I would love to hear about it for future books. I guess I'll just make one every year now so I have the records in hard copy.
Also, Brooklyn became a 10-month-old yesterday! What a cutie. She wouldn't smile for the camera yesterday until I flipped the imaging so she could see herself. Then, she was all smiles. I love the little girl. Her unpredictability with sleep schedules is pretty exasperating. I put her down between 7 and 8 at night, and then she wakes up in the early morning (ranging between 4:30-7) and then I put her down until she wakes up again at 8-8:30. She slept through the night for two weeks, but when she decided 5:30 was an awesome wake-up time again, we had to decide whether to sleep train again, or have me quickly nurse her and get more sleep. I really did debate what to do, but Brooklyn is a MISERABLE sleep trainer. She just screams for me and won't give up. So we're hoping she grows out of this within the next few months (even though our kids have rarely grown out of things without parental intervention).
I'm also posting some homeschool pictures. I plan on sending my kids to public school starting in kindergarten, but I think it's kind of fun to consider myself a homeschooler--technically, I do teach my kids things at home. And here's proof--so maybe I won't have to ever teach them anything again--they can just look at our family history book (a la $100 worth of blog posts) and see that I taught them. $100 invested in absolving myself from responsibility for their future hooliganism?
Tonight, I'm going on a date with Doug to see The Hunger Games. He has been sending me texts all day referencing characters from the book. Love the man--looking forward to the movie. And yes, I will be cleaning for the babysitter's sake today.

That picture of Isaac holding the top of Brooklyn's ponytail is priceless.
Good idea ordering the blog book...what did you have to do to get it in to book-ready format?
I just googled "make a blog book" and was directed to Blurb. I was walked through the process of getting my blog all pasted into a book, with everything in chronological order. Then, I spent the time formatting each page and deleting unnecessary pages (like when there were only four lines on the page--it usually fit just fine on the page before or after it. I'll post a picture of the final product when I get it):.
I love the picture of Lucy! I keep meaning to make another blog book - I've just got one so far, but there's always other things that seem to take precedence for me. Way to go!
