Blessed

Brooklyn was blessed today by her daddy. I took notes during the blessing (because I'm grateful to have them from Lucy's blessing, thanks to Peanut), and we were happy that Brooklyn was an angel for her blessing--and then all through church! With a six-week old, it could go either way.

We've entered phase two of our Bowen-hosting. Phase one began on Wednesday, and involved Doug's mom, sister Ashley, and cousins Christian, Colton, and Callie. And phase two started last night with Doug's brother Derek, his wife Trisha, their two kids, Faith and Skye, and Doug's brother Jeremy, with his wife Darcee. We represent Idaho, California, and Arizona.:) Phase three will happen tomorrow, with Doug's sister Jessica and her husband Matt, and their kids, Kate, Luke, and McKay.

I'm not going to say you should host a lot of family at your house with a six-week old. No, I will not say that. But when I'm not overwhelmed by the fact that nothing else could possibly be crammed in my fridge, I'm really happy to be surrounded by people I love, and I'm glad Doug gets this:).

The Bowens have a wonderful sense of humor, and also a much-appreciated love for talking. We can sit and chat forever. So here's to more heavenly, hilarious chats in the next few days. And may Brooklyn sleep for longer stretches at night in her bassinet, without the awaked-ness:).

Tara, you and your family are so beautiful! I loved looking at your pictures. I'm amazed at how you manage to stay so gorgeous despite working and taking care of 3 kids---and of course, everything else! I find that when I get busy, I get "frumpy"---you never get frumpy!!!! LOL! Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much I love staying in touch through your blog. You're inspiring!
