Tagged about Isaac

I am sacrificing "precious" Breaking Dawn reading time to fulfill a tag about Isaac.

So here are 6 things you may not know about Isaac:

1) Since he was itty bitty, he has invited me to sing for him in a few specific ways. He began by conducting--that meant it was time to sing. Then he added "Sing!" as a command while he conducted and now he'll conduct, and specify what he would like me to sing. Doug requests translations from "Isaac language" so he knows what songs Isaac wants him to sing. For example, "Sing Sewmen song" means, "Daddy, please sing Frosty the Snowman to me." And "Sing Gorporgy" means, "Daddy, please recite Georgie Pordgie from my Mother Goose book in a singsong manner, please." We're asked to sing to him around 100 times a day. When Isaac sings with us, he's right on key.

2) Isaac is working really hard on jumping. He trains on the trampoline, where he stands in the center, crouches down as low as he can go and works to spring upward. The kitchen floor is also an important training center.

3) Isaac does not have the best dance moves. His high knees during Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" are just as high during any other song, including hymns. He is an energetic dancer, and we're proud, but he looks like he's doing frenetic aerobics, not dancing.

4) Isaac's counting skills are getting better. We read a book about a little boy who feeds his fish too much fish food, and the front cover shows little orange fishies swimming all over. We count them before we start the story each time.

5) Isaac likes for his toys to kiss each other. He'll press his donkey and his frog's faces together and say, "Froggie, Donkey kiss each udder." Every stuffed animal has kissed another; every choo choo train has done the same. Affection is alive in our home.

6) Isaac likes playing the following game with his daddy. He'll say something while he leans into the talking dog and the dog will repeat it. Note that the cadence is always the same.

Isaac is such a cutie, and the new baby will be, too!
Started reading Twilight--guess I'm not overly impressed, but I'm only about 75 pages in, so we'll see.
