February 2019

This is the famous plate where Doug starting charting the pros and cons of moving to Arizona. I'm writing this in September and a few of the alleged pros have not come to pass--we don't live in a stronger church community, we don't make more money but actually make less, Doug's building could potentially become a focus building with a whole lot of overseeing from the state because it was listed as one of the five worst facilities in AZ, and the cost of living is even higher here than it was in Olympia. Doug is glad we moved here, and it has been good for us. But it has not been all sweet-smelling roses.
This was my big race day. It was awesome! My pace was a 7:39 for the half marathon, the fastest I've ever raced. I got fifth place, which annoyed me because I'd worked so hard. It was an awesome experience, though.
Lucy practicing indoor soccer right after volleyball. This was a good experience for her. The indoor field was freezing!

Cason used this t-shirt logo for a primary talk in January. He did a great job and we got him the shirt in blue as an early birthday gift so he could bring it for his talk.
This is Cason's talk.

People in Olympia started calling this Snowmaggedon. School was canceled for a week and we couldn't even get our little silver car up the hill to our house one evening. It was a HUGE amount of snow!

The little boys enjoying Isaac's library books.

Olympia was gorgeous with the white snow and rare clear blue skies.

Grandma and Grandpa Peters gave the kids money for Christmas that we finally let them spend in February. They were thrilled!

Brooklyn got this fake flower bouquet from a boy named Troy in her class for Valentine's Day! She was flattered and pretty surprised.

Lucy's valentine box was amazing, of course.

I went walking every day even with the crazy weather. It was fun to walk with Amy Lystad in this craziness!

Cason's birthday was fun. Highlights included. . . everything had to do with Avengers or the Justice League.

The decorations for Cason's birthday were amazing! The kids did all of this.

One night at volleyball when I had all the littles with me, they started working on awesome sports shots. This one of Brook is fantastic!

There was an etiquette dinner for the youth at the church in February. I was glad Isaac had a nice experience. He looked so handsome in these hand-me-downs from Colby our neighbor.

I took the littles to the zoo and aquarium and we had a blast.

The octopus was performing! That's pretty unusual and such a treat!

Fun at the children's museum

This was Isaac's battle of the books team. They weren't amazing but I'm still glad Isaac participated.

Lucy's teacher sent this photo to me. I love Lucy's gift of nurturing.

My precious Lucy wrote a whole letter to the new boy she knew would be coming to their class. Again, her big heart is so special.

And she got to dress up as her favorite character from a book. She is Babymouse.
