While My Husband Reads Scriptures

I'll jump on here and say we're moving for real. We have signed papers and we have submitted our earnest money. We'll be moving to a house that has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, 2650 square feet, a fully fenced yard, 2-door garage with an extra car port on the side, a garden in the back, landscaping, vaulted ceilings, AC, and my favorite things: we're on a cul-de-sac and. . . we get to stay in our ward and in our school district. The neighbors are terrific. The family selling us their home is moving two doors down to a house that has seven bedrooms. We're following the mantra we learned from Elder Gifford in West Virginia: buy the smallest house in the best neighborhood. While that meant moving into a gorgeous, enormous home in Alpine, Utah for him. . . it means something a little less grand for me.

Our house isn't gorgeous. It's just an ordinary Idaho home. Idaho doesn't know how to make houses like Utah. That's just a fact, and I accept it for now. But I am excited about making this house our home. We've got plans for shutters, painting, and probably putting in new carpet. We're excited.

Speaking of exciting, I am the proud owner of a pair on "bling" jeans. They are Miss Me's, they are beautiful, and I paid $75 for them, instead of $125, because my friend sold them to me. That picture below?--not me:). Lest you think I am a big spender, I feel like pointing out that it has been almost three years since I last bought jeans. Actually, I did buy maternity jeans once a few years ago.

And thanks to inspiration from MaryAnn last year, I have gone three weeks without eating very many treats. It has been great! I haven't felt as anxious when I haven't been able to work out, because I've known I have been making great eating choices. I feel healthier, and I love that.

Doug just asked me to turn the light out, so I'm done now:).
