Catch Up During Work Time

I'm pretty sure Kayla was trying to convince Brooklyn of how fun it would be to ride in the front pack on the hike. Brooklyn agreed. She passed out on the way back from the "waterfall"--which was actually a tiny puddle in the rocks.
Happy kids in the front yard at Kayla's house. They're in long sleeves and pants in this picture because it was cooler during the first part of our trip--and 78 degrees when we left!

Lucy and Santa bonding.
Lucy posing at the zoo with a chipmunk toy from McDonald's.
Isaac doing a happy dance as he waited in a five-minute line to see Santa.
The five-minute line.
Kiddies in the snow some time in December--I love their hats!
This is Doug and Brooklyn at the family photo shoot--and it may be my favorite picture from the whole event):
Isaac bonding with Santa, and reminding him to have his elves build the shark plane.

I wanted to post some catch-up photos that show why we should live in Sun City, Arizona, rather than Ammon, Idaho.

But here's a gratitude translation: here are some pictures of the people I love in two different climates. I am grateful that Santa came to the Museum of Idaho, for free, to talk to the child about what they wanted for Christmas (my little pony for Lucy and a shark plane for Isaac--Brooklyn would have requested food). And we're thankful that Kayla and Great-grandma Jeune hosted us in Sun City, Arizona, where we were able to swim in an outdoor pool on three different days, go to the zoo, go on a fun hike in the mountains, party with cousins, and remember that the sun can actually provide warmth, even in the winter.

So glad you had a great time. I wish we could have seen you too. Happy Birthday tomorrow. I will try to call you and a card was sent today so it will probably be late. Sorry. We love you!

I like Isaac's happy dance. I bet he is a creative kiddo.
