Okay, Okay, I should be grading right now. But I want to talk about two things I'm grateful for:
Date Night:
Last night, I was kind of annoyed. Doug and I had planned a date night, and Doug was having second thoughts about leaving Brooklyn with our babysitter, who is about 4 feet tall and very young. I decided to be firm, saying, "Either Brooklyn stays at our house, or I don't go on the date." I really wanted to have time with Doug away from our amazing children. Whoever says restaurants are just as much fun with children has comatose children who smile droopily in their sedated sleep.
So Doug decided not to pick a fight, and let Brooklyn stay home. I'm so glad! We had an awesome date, with divine chocolate cheesecake/brownie wonderfulness, and we were only distracted when our babysitter called to tell us Brooklyn had diarrhea and had pooped through all of ther clothing. I let the girl know Brooklyn does not have diarrhea--she is just a baby who poops like normal, healthy babies do, and I offered my condolences. I'm sure our food tasted a lot better after that conversation:).
The Apple:
The Apple is a fitness club in Idaho Falls, and the prices for membership are outrageous. But we got the best deal possible, and I love going there to work out. My kids love the Childcare facility, and I really like the workers there. So I think I may apply when my membership expires in June. If I work there, I'll get a free membership (again, this gym is so stingy. They won't pay me to work there, and my childcare won't be free when i work out. I just get a free membership--LAME.) Still, I'd like to save some money each month.
So all is well. I got a sort of promotion at BYU-Idaho, wherein I'll get extra money to be a teaching group leader over a group of teachers. The time commitment should be just a few hours extra a week, and we can make that work. Back to work!

Way to stand your ground on the no babies on date night...I'm with ya =).
Yes, there's more to my story, but as it unfolds & we learn more, I'll share what's going on. It's with Doug's work/deployment. (and no, I'm not pregnant =)
I love you and really appreciated your sweet message. Thank you Tara.
I neeeed a date night so bad. We just have so few young women in our ward, and I don't really feel like we can trade with anyone either. I'm so glad you stood your ground, because I completely agree.
So funny story about Apple gym. There is one in downtown SLC, which my rather good looking brother got a membership for. After a few workouts he commented on the friendliness and notably the helpfulness of the other gym members. His only complaint was that there weren't very many women. It was a mostly guys gym. Then one afternoon as he was leaving his friend of the female gender asked him what he thought of another gym member - male. Nate realized during her prodding that she was inferring that the other gym member was interested in him. Shocked he asked "do you think I"m gay?" To which she replied "Well most of the members are. This is a known gay gym."
I love me a good date night and a good gym membership...if I don't get both of those in a week I'm pretty upset...lol.
J.D. and I were talking about how we may have to hire a babysitter that is older and wiser when we have a 3rd child join the family. I think he is right but I like that I don't feel like I have to pay a 12 year old much, ha!
