I had to take a dramatic pause with my blogging when I couldn't transfer any of my pictures onto either of my computers. Doug just got me a new computer so I am hoping for good things.
Two hours later. . .
I'm still working on a solution another hour later. . .
Why can't this just be easy? And. . . victory! Thank you, Google Photos.
Doug celebrating with his team in masks--they'd made it through their first year!
Here are some fun hiking and home-school pics from April.
Cason's writing assignment for class.

One of our family Zoom calls. It was neat to connect with everyone when we couldn't be with anyone in person but it definitely wasn't our first choice.
Kayla made face masks for our whole family. Lucy posed in this face mask for her election video. She won as student body chief of communications. We were super proud of her and she loved her role helping others.
Here are the learners hard at work. During this part of the school year, I kept everyone together in the same area. It helped me reach more people who needed help.
And miraculously, Corban was so amazing with legos that he could play happily for hours while the kids worked on their school activities.
I wish I could identify where we were. We explored a lot of new trails.
Brook posing.
I think these are what Emory called "Blister Beetles." They were all over the place one day on the APache Wash trail. Brooklyn was incredibly afraid and Isaac was intrigued,
The Reach 11 pond got some serious algae bloom.
I think these flowers are from Doug. Let's say that they were and that they made me very happy.
I wanted the kids to feel the spirit of the temple so we got our free lunch like usual and ate it in the parking lot so we could be by the temple.
Then we went to a park and we had just bought an amazing van. . . which wouldn't start when I pressed the ignition button. I am happy to report that the van has never failed us since then, and it only took a few minutes to figure things out.
It looks like Lucy was working on a self portrait.
Easter egg dying! It looks like Corban's hands were completely covered in egg dye.
This is what thr Easter bunny left for us. Two of the shirts were kept, some of the shoes were kept, and we had a lot of fun. Holidays are the best!
We were constantly house hunting after we gave up on the house we'd offered to buy and felt like we couldn't buy it. Doug's bonuses didn't end up coming through until July but we didn't know it would take that long and we wanted to be ready.
The girls played during a rare thunderstorm.
Poor Corban thought it would be fun to play leap frog while we were hiking at Apache Wash. He was leaping forward. . . and hit a rock. We made a rule from then on that we couldn't play leap frog on rocky trails.
The popcicle helped.
More excellent school work from Cason the Kindergartner with missing teeth.
Another beautiful trail
We enjoyed Corban's outfit ensembles and confidence. Brook struck a Corban pose.
Everyone bowing down to the might Corban.
Lucy put this picture in her campaign video, too.
We got to take Darcee's big kids on a hike with us one day.
I love the brotherly love
Lucy's homework
We had a fun, crazy adventure at Lake Pleasant. We brought a tent to go camping. Doug broke the tent and the wind was strong that we knew Doug wouldn't enjoy the experience. We played in the water a little, roasted hot dogs and smores, ate lots candy and treats, and headed home. We haven't camped in a tent as a family yet!
This is our favorite Saturday afternoon destination. I love getting the Pina coladalada Hawaiian style.
Doug turns his phone on and everyone huddles close.
Lucy's new swimsuit that season--which she quickly lost and then didn't want to wear anymore. Grrr.
I was getting some cool shots of the kids' eyes.
We got pretty creative at home. Here we have the trampoline in the pool for jumping and water fun.
