Quarantine 2013

Here are some of the things that stand out to me as I tour my house during quarantine. Brooklyn has a raging cold, so I have been keeping her home for the past three days.
I put Brooklyn's quilt in her bed yesterday. My mom and sister made it, and I hated having it folded away just because it doesn't match her room. Now it gets to be used and loved.

I hesitate to post this, because it is not very posh. But I can't let that stop me. I have started slipping long pillowcases over Brooklyn's changing table mat. They match the room, I have several, and I don't get annoyed when I have to wash the cover.

My Lucy Goose

And a sweet Isaac boy

And trouble. Yes, she spilled the water all over everything.

A sink with no dishes in it!

Again, not posh. But I stuck a bunch of candles in aheart-shaped basket, and take pleasure from picking what I want my house to smell like each day. So cozy.

My kids modelling while I decide where we will get our pictures taken at 5:15 today by my kind neighbor. We told her we'd do pictures with our camera for 10 minutes, and just pick the best we can get. I don't like that the snow just looks like a flat white background.

So I think we'll be on our doorstep. The light will be better at 5:15.  I don't love that my "no soliciting: Thank you!" sign is so noticeable. I only really need it in the summer. Ideas?
