I Promised Pictures

We see this face a little too often from Lucy.
But she can strike a pose with the best of them.

I love this!
Typical pose for the two of them

The fam--we were testing out Julie and Harley's backpack--I thought it would be well-distributed and comfortable, but it wasn't. Maybe Brooklyn's just heavy, no matter what?

I love this--the baby hand, and the love.

I know this is incriminating evidence, but this girl has a serious belly--how could I not post it?

My beautiful girl.

On the top of Sawtell in Island Park. It was so beautiful up there. We had a great view of the Tetons, but they don't show up well in the picture.

I like the action shot of leaving the baby on a mountain.

Cute Daddy with his girls.

We took maybe thirty pictures of them together, and this was the best smiling picture.

I loved this whole series of pictures of Brooklyn and I. When she sees this later in life, she'll know how much I love her.

I love her in the blue sweatshirt against the blue sky!

Doug took this shot--it's great!

We asked a man to take our picture, and here it is. That's Henry's lake below us, and I hear the fishing is excellent there. Doug wouldn't know because there was a whiteout the one time he tried to go there this year.

So there you have it! Us in a bunch of pictures with our new camera. True to Doug's nature, he is already dreaming a plotting to get a better lens.

Yes, Brooklyn's rolls are beautiful. I love your pictures and your adorable happy family. I'm glad you're writing a book! I loved reading your book notes. We did have a lot of drama that freshman year! Our first years on our own really were important in deciding what direction our lives would turn and yet look at what a small blip it is in your life story! I guess I'm feeling overly-sentimental at the moment, but it is somewhat of a comforting thing to look back at your life and realize that hard times and good times, when taken in context, are all really small parts of one big beautiful life picture. Thanks for my little dose of perspective, Tara. Can't wait to read more. :)
