The text inside the card:
Roses are red, and violets are blue,
but the point of this rhyme is to tell each of you
what we Bowens have all been up to of late.
So here's our synopsis:
Doug has been great
about finding a job--he finally decided
to be a prosecutor in Idaho Falls. We're excited...
but our house in Pocatello isn't sold yet.
So it's on the market, and we try not to fret.
Doug's still the center of each of our lives
and there's nothing cooler than when daddy arrives
home from work--while the kids wish he'd play all day,
watching BYU basketball sometimes gets in the way:).
Tara, who has got her hands full raising two
kids will nonetheless be so excited in June.
On June 1st, we're expecting a new baby girl,
and Tara's thrilled to give parenting three kids a whirl.
She'll keep teaching Advanced Writing for BYU-I
and cooking, cleaning, reading, playing, and dating her guy:).
Isaac is often a "dragon!", or "shark!",
and he loves playing with his animals, going to the park,
strolling through the zoo, and whizzing through books.
He's our precious explorer, combining brains and good looks:).
Lucy, the princess, is terribly two,
climbing chairs, counters, bookshelves, refusing to do
what we ask--she can flaunt all her sass like a pro,
but she's sweet, and her cuddling makes up for the woe.
We're alive, and we're happy...a lot of the time:).
We love you and hope you liked our Valentine!
Love,
Doug, Tara, Isaac, and Lucy Bowen

Very fun. Happy Valentine's Day.

By the way, Brooke and Jessie and families went to Disney with my dad the week of Labor Day. School had been in for a few weeks for Brooke's kids, but it was my kids first week of school. My Dad took us to Disney World for a week in May. It would have been fun to be there with the cousins, but we still had a great trip last Spring.
