June Updates

We had so much fun at the school luau! I took the middle three kids and we had so much fun dancing. Lucy won the limbo contest (tied with her friend who was a foot shorter than her) and she got a free t-shirt. Brooklyn, who is trying not to cry and has a no-crying chart, did a great job not crying over how jealous she was.

And my brave Brookie that night after resisting the urge to cry

Then Doug and I got to go to the temple together. Yay! It was an awesome date. We left early int he morning and it was totally worth it.

We're doing a health challenge with some family: it's me, Doug, Troy, Marsh, Mom, and Chris. We started measuring body fat percentage and really enjoyed that Doug's numbers were so much better than everyone else's. We used the Inbody later in the week and got more accurate readings. It has been fun doing this with Doug. I definitely did not demonstrate a lot fo willpower this weekend. I need to figure out healthy weekends.

Cason and Corban before I gave them haircuts. The cuts look pretty good. Not perfect, but I prefer cutting their hair to spending money for someone else to do it.

Doug stocking up on several hundred dollars worth of protein shakes and powders

Cute Isaac with his summer bucketlist he had to make without adding any words: he intends to go on walks, bike ride, play at the playground, swim, fish, go on trips to wonderful places, and eat and enormous cheeseburger. I think we can take care of all of those dreams.

Doug and I went on a walk this afternoon and got drenched in rain and hail. Still fun!

This was a thank you picture to my friend Casey who brought us a TON of her son Ryan's birthday cake and some amazing dumplings and sauce. She's going to teach me how to make the dumplings, which sounds incredible (and hard and time consuming, probably!) Horray for me being caught up all the way through today. Doug just told me that Dwight had a stroke, so I'll have more details about that later. Poor Dwight. Doug has been feeling impressed to come visit him, and I feel like this may be the reason.
