It feels incredible that we just got back from our trip to Arizona and Mexico two weeks ago. I feel like we have been back forever. This was a fantastic trip.

Corban's favorite activity was throwing rocks in the water. The problem was that the rocks were ornamental. That did not stop this boy.

I cried on April Fool's Day because my family tricked me into thinking Troy had gotten a big calling at church but he wouldn't tell me about it. I called Troy, Breezy, my mom, and Marsh, and no one would tell me what was going on (my mom was out of town, but Doug got ahold of my dad, who said he doubted Troy had a big calling). Anyway, it was traumatic. So going to Arizona the next day was therapeutic. As my mom told me that night on a conference call (with her and dad on the line together), I need to let things go when no malice is intended. No one knew they were actually hurting me by playing what they thought was a harmless prank. I wasn't even an intended target--I just took the bait about Troy having a big calling. Because I feel things deeply, I can get hurt deeply. My mom reminded me that every second counts with family, especially when you don't get to be with them much.

It was so fun to be in shorts and t-shirts. This park is pretty awesome.

And here we are at the resort in Puerto Penasco. There wasn't much to do in this little town, but we had a bunch of pools below our condo, and the ocean just beyond that. So incredible, really. We're thankful that Kayla and Dave paid for the condo fees. We also used Mehrl's suburban, which ended up disastrous. The car broke down in the parking lot the day we needed to leave, and it broke down again in the line to cross the Mexico border. We miraculously got it started and were able to cross the border, but it died for good when we were about an hour inside Arizona. We had to smoosh some of us in Dave's car, Kayla and Doug rode in the un-airconditioned tow truck in 100 degree weather, and Jeremy and Darcee picked up Isaac and dropped him off at Kayla's house. . . lots of adventures. We're so thankful, again, that Kayla and Dave decided to caravan with us when they knew we were having car troubles.

Doug and Corbie on the beach, and you can see the condos behind them.

Me telling Corban to come to me, and Isaac playing in the water and getting soaked, even though he was wearing a sweatshirt. The waves called to him.
