August

My cute little baby at Pleasant Glade. We went there for free lunch several times over the summer. It was fun, and I loved the kids' exposure to a variety of foods. There was also a little camp the kids could go to afterward if they wanted.

We were so excited that my parents came out to see us! We loved our precious time with them in Utah and were thrilled to be back with them so soon. We went to a yummy seafood restaurant called Anthony's on the bay.

A quick trip with Mom at Priest's Point Park.

The day my parents left, we headed to Shorebrook, a beach 2 1/2 hours away. Even though it was in the 90's in Olympia, we were comfortable in sweatshirts by the ocean. I loved watching my dad stand by the ocean and just look out at it. I thought it was funny to see Isaac worrying about getting stung by a jellyfish. He made a really funny picture showing Mom birding and ignoring his distress for her birthday!

My mom took this picture. It's pretty cool.

We loved swim lessons at Tanglewild. I never found out what level my kids earned after their swim lessons because the sheets weren't ready when they were supposed to be. . . or the day after that. . .and I mentally moved on. I'll be sure to ask this summer. The price was right and I loved the park right beside the pool for my littles.

and the beloved bike ramp

I sent a text to my mom, Peanut, and Breezy with this picture and the heading "Benjamin Corban." Can you see his little ponytail?

We loved berry picking!

Playing at the South Bay park. We tried to get the kids into school there, but the wait list was too long and they didn't get in.

Trouble. This boy has had so many hairstyles. I wish I'd taken a picture of him today--maybe his cutest look ever.

Isaac getting contacts!

He hasn't worn them since. They're meant for his lacrosse season when he has to wear a helmet.

More gorgeous exploring

Isaac caught a minnow with his hands

Just hanging out out in the front yard

Solar eclipse day! If you look closely, you can see the crescent moon splayed across the shadow of the leaves.
You can't tell how cool the sun looked during the eclipse, but the whole world was darker and so cool.

A quick photo as we left Burfoot Park. This part of the country is just gorgeous.

Yay, Cason! Nice decorating in the sand at Tolmie Park!

Lucy created a heart with Tara and Doug in it like my artwork in Maui.

Beautiful Brooklyn at Burfoot Park. She couldn't resist going deeper and deeper.

Trying to keep this guy less muddy than usual.
